San Diego Beach Real Estate

Post image for San Diego Beach Real Estate

San Diego 72 degrees and sunny!  This is the norm here in San Diego.  Especially at the beaches.  Having lived on the east coast and now in San Diego for over 13 years I truly can say this is one of the best places to live. Everything is only 10 minutes away, downtown, the beaches, restaurants, shopping and more.

Beach real estate in San Diego is one of the few markets that the recession didn’t cause as big of a hit as it did in other parts of San Diego.  Construction of new single family homes and cloud condominiums continue through out the beach areas like Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, La Jolla, Imperial Beach, and Mission Beach.

Why is real estate in these areas continuing to do well in a down market?

The reason for this is the desirability of living by the ocean.  Let’s face it! Who doesn’t want to live near the beach?!? Also the locations of colleges in San Diego lend itself to keeping the demand for real estate high.

In Pacific Beach for example you could live is a complex like the Plaza Condominiums.  This is a large complex with a lot of amenities such as pools, spas, gym, tennis, billiards, sun decks, saunas and more.  It is located approximately 1 mile from the beach which makes it perfect for biking to the beach or the bay or to Crown Point.

Garnet Ave features lots of restaurants from all over the globe and grocery shopping like Trader Joe’s &  Sprouts (used to be called Henry’s).  All within a one mile radius.  This is perfect for those that want to save money on gas and get some exercise biking or walking to the grocery store.  Go Green!
